Maihan Restaurant

We went yesterday to this restaurant for the first time! And I’m really glad about it first I didn’t want to because a few years ago it was my favorite restaurant in Hamburg the “casa de Aragon” that unfortunately closed down. But I’m happy we went because the service and the food was amazing they have very friendly and nice staff and the food was super yummy we will definitely come back

Great place to eat, good food, not large but enough and tasty food with nice presentation in nice plates. We were sit quick and the food arrived fairly quickly. I ordered Kubide with kabuli, we also ordered Tikka with Kabuli. Ashak on the side. The kababls come with rice and salad, all tasty and fresh. The meat is cooked well and not seasoned too much, so you may add your own salt and perhaps pepper. Ashak was mediocre, it may not be the food I go here for next time. Doogh was fresh and yummy and Kardomom tea was good. Suggestions: Bring and leave the tea in a tray, for many reasons! Try to stay with patrons and offer them help to decide. The table beside us clearly needed help and the kind server just gave them more time. This is authentic food and not everyone knows what to order. Have picture of your nicely presented food on your menue. Ask clients maybe a bit earlier how everything is. You have a great restaurant with great food and presented well

This food is second to none! There were four of us there and we had a nice round table. One of the co-owners took care of us and read our every wish. Although you don't see an Afghan, the food was incredibly good. There is really nothing to complain about, even the prices were okay. Meat great, rice great, dessert incredible! I can only recommend this restaurant and will definitely come again!

If it happens that you are fond of Afghan cuisine, then you have to visit this restaurant located in the mid-north of Hamburg. The highly recommended dish is the juicy kebabs or chunck of meat with rice. The Mantu plate as a starter is something ought not to be missed. I was really amazed by the staff professionalism and how courteous they were besides, the service was fabulous there.

The staff was friendly and very helpful, the food was delicious! I’ve had a starter of mixed dips and some mantu, and there was barely room for dessert, but I made it work :) The negroni as aperitif was also quite excellent. I would definitely go back!

Amazing food! I had the Qabeli with Lamb & Vegetables. Love the variety that was included...salad, rice, vegetables and spinach. Highly recommended.
